This homemade taco seasoning is so much better than the packet variety, easy to make...and you control the ingredients. Adjust to your liking!

Ingredients

2 tablespoon chili powder
1 tablespoon Adobo seasoning
½ teaspoon onion powder
½ teaspoon garlic powder
¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper
½ teaspoon dried oregano
2 teaspoon ground cumin
1½ teaspoon smoked paprika
½ teaspoon Kosher salt
2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Instructions

Combine all ingredients until fully mixed.
2 tablespoon chili powder, 1 tablespoon Adobo seasoning, ½ teaspoon onion powder, ½ teaspoon garlic powder, ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper, ¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper, ½ teaspoon dried oregano, 2 teaspoon ground cumin, 1½ teaspoon smoked paprika, ½ teaspoon Kosher salt, 2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Store in an air-tight container.

Be careful with your salt levels. Many adobo seasonings include salt. Check the label; if no sodium, then you can increase the amount you use with this recipe. You can always add more salt when you're cooking with the seasoning, too.

This recipe can easily be doubled or tripled. It will keep in an air-tight container for months (up to 6).
